Procedures
1. If your child is going to be absent due to illness:
- notify dispatch and they will contact your child's bus driver (contact numbers are found under the more tab)
- send an e-mail to me letting me know your child will not be at school and copy Angela Howard
and Joy Fuller.
- send in a written excuse with your child when they return to school
- be sure to let me know if your child is on medication (both perscription and over the counter)
2. If you will be checking out your child early from school:
- let us know what time and if there are any special instructions(hold off on lunch, nap, or do not send on the bus) via e-mail, note placed in the daily notebook, or call the school and leave a message
3. If you are sending in cash or a check:
- send it in a sealed envelope with your child's name, the amount, and what the money is for, written on the front. Place it in the zippered pouch of the daily notebook.
4. Daily notebooks:
- read and initial your child's daily note
- feel free to respond in the notebook, send in a seperate note, or e-mail ( e-mail contacts can be found by clicking on contacts under the more tab)
5. Sending in notes or e-mails:
- your communications are very important to me and I will always try my best to respond by the end of the day
- our day is filled with activities and we are busy right up to dismissal, I check my e-mails before the children arrive and may not be able to check again until the end of the day
- if your message is urgent please call and leave a message
6. Car riders:
-be sure your red Pre-K card is in your windshield so the officer allows you through to the front parking lot
- park in the front lot and walk your child across to the side walk and wait for a teacher to take your child
into class
- be sure to arrive at 8:20 so your child does not miss their social time before calendar. Our schedule is
full and needs to be consistent and predictable.
